Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to water supplies, as stated by local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.

Russian forces has escalated assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Local officials said the city came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and three other people were injured.

The attacks come after nights of air raids in the region, portions of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to spot.

Authorities told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the country's energy grid, with attacks already affecting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were preparing for further attacks.
